St. Angelo Fort (Kannur Fort)

Thalassery Fort
also known as Tellicherry Fort, is a historical fortress located in the Thalassery town of Kannur district, Kerala, India. It has its own significance in India’s colonial history and is renowned for its well-preserved architecture and historical importance.
The British East India Company constructed and established the Thalassery fort in 1708. It is one of the earliest and most well-preserved European forts in India, signifying the colonial presence in the Malabar region.
