Chuzhali Bhagavathy is the clan deity of Chuzhali Swarupa. This theyyam form is regarded as the sister of Cherukunn Annapoorneshwari devi. This goddess came to Malanadu by Marakalameri (on a small boat) along with Annapurna Devi of Cherukunni. Bhagwati’s main pedestal is in the temple at Chuzhali ( a village in Kannur), hence the name Chuzhali Bhagavathy.
